You know that friend who is constantly eating out and knows all the good spots? Yep, that’s me. I do not, by no means, make a living reviewing food so sadly, there will be no use of language here to inflate my sense of self-importance. Besides, I have my day job to do that. And to avoid any potential conflicts of interest, I will not accept solicitations or invitations from restauranteurs so that my posts are an honest reflection of my experiences.
If I can help you navigate Taichung to make sure you can choose the right dining experience to suit your needs, then I have done my job. My goal is to make these foodie posts interesting, entertaining and most of all useful so that you are 100% sure of any establishment before making plans to visit. From time to time, I will also share with you great food from Taipei, Tainan, Hong Kong and my other travels.
Most of the establishments reviewed on this site will be neither horrible or fabulous. In all honesty, almost all will likely fall somewhere in the middle. However, if a restaurant is indefensibly bad, I will list an honest opinion of why the experience was bad for me and why you should consider a Plan B for your gathering. But my word is not the absolute truth. So go out there, try the same venue yourself and share with us your experiences on the Taichung Foodie website.
